Edition-of-ten 100-page Blurb book after multiple printed versions as tests, plus a magazine (Blurb) and newspaper formats (Newspaper Club). Laid out in InDesign. Text researched and written by self. I sent copies of the dummy book to a number of experts, including Martin Parr and Rudi Thoemmes of RRB Books. A copy is in Martin Parr’s MPF library of British photobooks.
Easterly Edges is a landscape-documentary of the Essex coast, its diverse landscapes, the landmarks of human activity on it (buildings, infrastructure, boundaries), and its wild beauty and sometimes slightly dour character.
Rather than the natural world, my emphasis was on the man-made landscapes and artefacts.
