Queen Street is a tired, rather run-down street in central Colchester, full of food shops – restaurants, take-aways, grocery shops, mini-markets. Most of the shops are run by different ethnic groups (Turkish, Indian, African, Italian, Chinese).
It is a microcosm of British social dynamics in 2022 – no doubt replicated all over Britain.
